ramya_ramya Posted June 27, 2017 Report Posted June 27, 2017 Hi All, I am currently working on H1B which is set to expire on 15th sep 2017 and planning to convert to H4 after that. I will be travelling to India for H4 Visa stamping . I will not resign the current job but may go on leave till I get EAD. So my question is in DS160 form , there is a section to indicate employment status . If I provide the status as currently employed (as not quitting my job) will it be an issue for my H4 ?

You cannot work get paid on H-4 until you get H-4 EAD.
