H1B Application: Suggestions and Opinions

Dear friends,

From the forum and different websites I have looked. I got this information. Please correct me if I am wrong and guide/suggest me if I can make my H1B application process better

1)The best time to submit H1B application is April 1st, 2012.

2)If I apply on April 1st,2012 and my H1 B got approved I am eligible for Cap gap extension.

3)It is always better to go for premium processing by spending some extra money in order to avoid tension. If I apply on April 1st, 2012 by premium processing. Usually it takes 15 to 20 days to know whether your H1B is approved or not and if my H1 B got approved. I will come under CAP GAP means my opt will be automatically extended till Oct 1st.

(Remember my Opt is expiring on June 10th,2012)

4)It is always better to start application process sooner. I am planning to ask my employer to start my H1B process by the end of Jan 2012.

Any suggestions or anything I am missing please guide and please give your input. All responses will be highly appreciated.
