I would like to convert from H1B-H4 for my wife. Since change of status is taking longer time I am planning to get stamped for my in India to get it quicker.

I am currently working for a company and will be starting in new place in March 20th. Have H1-B approved from new company. But visa stamp is valid with old company.

Is it ok to get H-4 visa stamped for my wife with new H1-B approval even though I have not started in new place? My current H1-B expires in September 30th, 2017 so I will need to file again in case if I use old employer. Please suggest.
