H1b extension denied- Change to H4

Hi All,

My wife's H1b extension got denied a week back due to employee and employer relationship as her client wont provide letter and her current visa and I-94 were also expired. Currently I am on my H1b and we are planning to got for consular processing. We both work for the same employer

1) Will there be any issue during the H4 visa interview?

2) Can she go to Mexico and attend the interview? Or her only option is to go to home country

3) We booked the appointment in home country 2nd week of Jan. Will there be any issue of she leaves USA 3-4 days prior to that as we have an infant baby

4) Any chance that her H1b denial might be asked about in the interview?
