Spouse 485 pending due to wrong DOB

Hi,

I received my Green card in EB1 category. My spouse's and mine 485 were filed together. However, while filing 485 form for my spouse I entered wrong DOB that we came to know when we went for fingerprinting, agent there told us to call USCIS number. Below are the steps we have taken so far:

• Called the USCIS number, they told us to write a letter with all the proof of correct DOB.
• Wrote the letter to USCIS.
• Took InfoPass appointment for the same reason. Infopass agent told to write another letter.
• Wrote another letter.
• I got my 485 approval and then I got the Greencard.

My wife's 485 status on USCIS website is still showing as notice received. She is currently on H4 visa valid till Aug'17.

1. What should I do to get this sorted out?
2. Will my wife be still able to live in US after Aug'17 if there is no change in current situation?

Do you have any suggestions on which I can follow up with USCIS before I involve a lawyer?

Also, if it comes to the point where I have to get a lawyer, do you have any approximation on how much it might cost?
