Hi All,

I need your suggestion which country should i choose for my Firs time H1B stamping. I am currently working as a Full Time employee for a large Retail giant and it wont  be possible to take 1 month of vacation to go India. Can you advise in Canada which consulate should i prefer , have any of you been to winnipig in Canada ?

For the first time stamping the candidate need to go to the consulate of their country of birth. In your case (i think) it would be India. I don't think you can go to Canada for stamping. Any way if you plan well (at god forbid) you can get the visa stamping in a week to 10 days. (It is my first hand experience that I could come back in a week). Good luck.

I would recommend going to India. If you have 221g, it may take longer than expected (~20 days in my case) Better to be in your home country in this case.
