boilerdam Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 I got a 221G at Chennai during the standard visa stamping. My interview was 9th Dec and the docs required were from the petitioner. My attorney directly emailed the docs to the consulate and reached them on 14th Dec. When I track my case online, it still shows "Administrative Processing" with the standard text as always but it says this: "Case creation: 8th Dec 2016 Case updated: 9th Dec 2016" 1) Why was the case created before my interview? Is it per US time? I was issued a 221G at about 2pm on 9th Dec, which is already 9th Dec EST. 2) Shouldn't my case be updated on 14th Dec after they received our email? We already got the automated acknowledgement email immediately, on 14th Dec. FYI, the docs would've reached them in the evening of 14th Dec Indian time. So, effectively, they've had my docs for 15th & 16th Dec and today, 19th Dec (3 business days). Should I just give them some time to update it before I hit the panic button (don't really know what to do with the panic button anyway, LOL)?
