RMiami Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 Hi, I got the below mail from Chennai consulate "This message is being sent to inform you that the non-immigrant U.S. visa which you currently hold has been revoked in accordance with the United States Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The visa is no longer considered valid for travel to the United States. Following the interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai and the subsequent issuance of the visa, additional information became available that indicates you may no longer be eligible for the visa issued. If you desire to travel to the U.S. you must apply for a new visa, at which time your eligibility for the visa will be reviewed and the application adjudicated accordingly." I don't have drunk and driving history and my driving history is clean and am staying in USA from last more than year. can you please let me know will this effect my status and am I legal to stay?(my h1 petition valid till next 2yrs its showing approved in USCIS website. Can you please let us know what is my next step and your suggestions. Thanks, Ravi
Cloud*9 Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 Have you changed your employer after landing in USA? I assume if that is the case your previous employer would have requested to revoke the visa.

When a person on H1 changes jobs, the old H1 petition gets revoked, not the visa. Consulates nowadays revoke the visa if there is a DUI. But the OP says he doesn't have that. The OP should see an immigration lawyer to find out what this is about.
RMiami Posted December 20, 2016 Author Report Posted December 20, 2016 I haven't changed any employer and today and contacted one of murthy attorney haven't satisfied with answer.

theredfisherman Posted February 6, 2019 Report Posted February 6, 2019 Hello @Vic007, @Ranveer Singh and @RMiami - Did any of you take further steps since you received this email? My wife who has been on H1-b and has no violations whatsoever woke one fine day to see this same email in her inbox. It has been shocking and combing through Google there have been quite a few cases such as these. It would be great to know if you took any steps since this notice and what the outcome was. Really appreciate it. Thanks.
