How to change visa status in i-94

This is Santosh. I came to the USA as a dependent (H4 visa). But now I got R1 visa so how to change my visa status in i-94 form.

The approval notice should have a new I-94 at the bottom, if it was a change of status.

If not, you have to go abroad, get the appropriate visa, and return with that.

Thanks for reply. And my approval notice have new i-94 at the bottom but i checked in online it displays H4.

Forget online. That's often inaccurate. The last I-94 matters, and if the last one was the one from the approval notice, then that is the right one.
