H4 visa start and end date confusion when H1B is extended.

My husband current petition expires May 2017.

petition is extended by same company and will start from May 2017 to March 2019.

My visa on Passport was expired in sept 2015.( more than a year).- employer name on visa is different.( old employer of my husband).

I am india now and i want to fill DS160 form and go for consulate in Hyderabad, India.

I am travelling back to USA in April 2017.

I want start date on my visa to be March 2017 and my end date as per new petition.

start date on visa according to old visa and end date according to new petition.

What details should i enter when filling primary applicants details in Ds160 of H4.

Please advice, how to handle this situation.

Don't worry about your start date on visa. There are only 2 dates on visa if you observed carefully. Issued date and expiry date. There is no start date. Fill in your spouse extension details in DS 160. Whenever you get stamped that will be issued date and you can travel back anytime after you get ur visa.
