H1B Extend of Stay denied, I824 required for different consulate

I have applied for renewal of my H1B and I got it approved but my Extension of Stay has been denied and it was written that notification has been sent to the consulate above (In my case it is Hyderabad). Now I have made a US consulate appointment in Canada.

Do I need to ask my Petitioner to file form I-824, Application for action on an approved application or petition, to request to notify the new consulate?

I was also in same situation 2 months back(Extenssion of stay denied)....I checked with attorney , they said need travel back to home country. Check again with your attorney .... Mine is aslo Hyd....but u can book appointment in any India US consulate. 

if u attend in India u can go to any consulate, no need to apply I-824.

Dev2323, What kind of questions did they ask you and did they give you any specific reason?

I am thinking I got this denial because after changing my employer I didn't go for stamping. I had done stamping with old employer in Hyderabad 2 years back and later changed employer.

1. Do I have to go to Hyderabad(consulate) only or can I go to Mexico to get it stamped too?

2. What kind of questions were asked at the consulate?
