mackd Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Guys I have started a DS 160 form to book my appointment.I have completed booking my appointment at Matamoros mexico consulate. Now when I am trying to retrieve my application I am getting SURNAME or yr of Birth Not matching. What shall I do to retrieve it back. If there is no way and I have to start filling new one how can i update the new DS 160 number information to the consulate. I cannot cancel the appointment since I have booked the flight tickets and also I will loose my stamping date. Please give your valuable suggestions. Thank You in advance

My appointment was in Ottawa, so I called the number on the Candian website and they were able to link the new DS160 but they had to cancel my current appointment date and reschedule, but I was lucky I got it for the next day. I was also told that you could you also contact helpdesk by sending them an email and explaining the situation, these people will be able to update your DS-160 without rescheduling it, they got back to me in a day after I sent the email canada_contactus+ca+info+en@visaops.net Hi Sir/Madam, This is and I'm contacting you for requesting the change of DS-160 on my application, as was not able to retrieve the old DS-160. I've contacted via phone for updating but I was told that I cannot have the current visa scheduled date, as I've already purchased my travel tickets I don't want to reschedule it, could you please help me updating the new DS-160 with out loosing the current date please? below are all my case details and attached are my new ds-160 confirmation page and visa appointment date. I am planning to take my new DS 160 number and having it updated on the bio metrics day.At this point I cannot cancel my appointment and rebook it. I have updated my profile with my Email Id please drop your number or give me your contact info we can discuss.
Shamboo Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 I tried calling the consulate and also emailing them and in both cases they said the DS-160 number can't be updated on user account without cancelling/rescheduling the current appointment it seems because it was given to a contracting company so they don't have that flexibility to adjust/update the new DS-160 Number it seems so i don't have other option other than cancelling it and re-scheduling it.
