anonymous8 Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 Hello, Back in 2012 I was arrested on DUI charge which after the court ruling got reduced to Reckless Driving. I'm planning to travel to India in Feb 2017 to get my visa stamped. I have fulfilled all court requirements and the case is closed. How will this affect my visa interview? Within the DS-160 application, should I state 'Yes' for the question if I was arrested? and explain that it was a first degree misdemeanor-Reckless driving (reduced from DUI) and that all requirements have been fulfilled? Please advise.
shekar11# Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 Yes you need to mention all the details. Also you can expect a 221 G for the physical test. Be prepared for 2 to 3 weeks of wait.
