separated H4 / and F1

I got married last year . I am an Indian and I got an H4 visa. Within a week of coming to USA, I faced domestic violence and returned to India. My husband and in laws are not responding to emails and calls since then. I have recently launched a formal legal complaint against them past month, so as to start divorce proceedings.I have no whereabouts about my husband

In the meantime i have got myself an admission in MBA program of a top 10 USA b school . Now i have two questions:

1. I have to attend a women day worskshop for b school in feb for a day . Can I apply for fresh visitor visa?

2. Most importantly, Can i apply for F1 visa ? will my H4( I dont even know whether my husband has got it cancelled or not) affect my F1?  I want a fresh F1 .What are my chances?
