L1A max out and I140 EAD with compelling reason

Hi All, 

I am nearing my L1A  max out by April 2018 and my company said they will not file L to H this year as I am already in 6/7 year by Oct 2017.

 

1. What are my possibilities to extend my stay. 

2. Can I ask my company to apply for I140 EAD under compelling reasons by Jan 2018 and extend my stay(As per new rule I140 EAD and  Significant disruption to the employer)?

There is no I-140 EAD, and with Trump becoming President, probably won't be for a long time.

You could leave for one year and work for the company at home and then get sent in L1 status again.
