On Visitor Visa, PP & I-94 expiring on the same date, emergency extension needed

Hi,

I have an emergency situation where both my parents were admitted into a hospital for independent cases within 2 days.They cannot travel back in teh near future for now My Father's Passport and I-94 expire on the same date (12/28), My mother's PP expires on Jan 8th while her I-94 expires on Feb 8th 2017. I have reached out to CKGS/Indian embassy and per my understanding B1/B2 candidates cannot renew their passport here in the US. What are my options now. How can i get the I-94 extended? Do i have to wait until i get the Passport situation sorted out before i apply for extension of I-94? Will an emergency travel certificate help in this case? do i have to wait until i get that before i apply for I-94 extension? Any input is highly appreicated!

A situation where a Lawyer can help you much better. As regards the Indian Embassy, send them email directed to the Ambassador and ask for help in the matter after describing the matter briefly. Phone calls are useless.
