Selling a house on Visitor Visa

I have lived in the US for the last 8 years, currently on a H1-B visa with an approved I140 we intend to buy a house but worried might have to go India in the case I loose my job or there are changes to H1-B or immigration process. Is it possible to sell a property on a visitor visa, assuming I get one after we go back to India.

1. What are laws surrounding the use of visitor visa to sell property in US
2. What are the laws that I should be concerned with regarding buying a house given my situation

I would not let the election result stampede you in to hasty decisions. Go ahead and buy the house when interest rates are still low. One can have a realtor involved in selling the house at any time.
