Concurrent filing for GC

Hi Team,

Request you to provide your inputs for this scenario where my employer is filing for a GC when my sibling(citizen) has already filed for one. What can I expect out of this situation. Kindly respond.

Concurrent has a meaning in Immigration. This is not what it means. Both petitions can go one side by side.

Family-based GC and employment-based GC can be processed in parallel.

For family 4th category, sibling of a US citizen, the PD is 12+ years back. For an employment-based GC, the PD is likely not that far back.

You can file an I-485 when the PD for either case is current, assuming the I-130 and/or I-140 are approved.
