Aashutosh Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 Hello, I am currently on H1-B visa. I am expecting a new job offer. The new company should be initiating H1-B transfer soon. However, I have to travel to India to attend a very important wedding. Is it advisable to travel during the transfer period? I will have a valid stamped visa, I-797 from my current employer and the job offer letter from my potential employer. If my travel is unavoidable what are the documents to keep during immigration to avoid confusion. Seek your advice. Regards, Aashutosh
pontevecchio Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 If you come back to join the existing employer, there is no problem. You can always change at any time after that based on an approved H1 petition with another employer.
