RAraj Posted November 7, 2016 Report Posted November 7, 2016 My H1B extension petition is pending, and we may need to convert my spouse's status H4 in a few weeks from H1B. Question - Do I need to have an approved 797 of my H1 before we can file H4 for my spouse? If yes or no, what are the potential risks involved? Thanks.
