I have a friend who is a U.S citizen and would like to SPONSOR me citizenship but not sure if there is an option. Currently I am on my H1 for another 3 yrs. I would welcome - for any suggestions/advise you have for me.
JoeF Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 First, nobody can sponsor citizenship. A person becomes eligible for citizenship after several years as a Permanent Resident. Second, it is not possible to sponsor a GC for a friend.
