Can a U.S citizen sponsor Citizenship to Friend (H1 holder) ?

Hi Murthy Law Firm/Friends,

Thanks for helping me earlier with my h1 related questions.

I am here again with a new question. I have a friend who is a U.S citizen and would like to SPONSOR me citizenship but not sure if there is an option. Currently I am on my H1 for another 3 yrs.

I would welcome - for any suggestions/advise you have for me.

First, nobody can sponsor citizenship. A person becomes eligible for citizenship after several years as a Permanent Resident.

Second, it is not possible to sponsor a GC for a friend.

Unless you want to marry this friend it is not possible.

No he cant sponsor unless you both get married.
