Options incase of declined application(I765)

Hello,

My online case status for OPT STEM extension is showing that on October'5, a packet was mailed to me requesting for evidence. I've been checking case status everyday. But only yesterday, it showed me at there's an RFE on my application. I haven't received any material regarding RFE. If my Stem-OPT gets declined, I won't have any grace period left to work on filing something else again. My question is, before any failure happens,can I enroll into some course to keep up with my status? While this Stem Application is in process, please suggest anyother way to keep my status alive.
