I am on H1B and today my parents along with my 20year old nephew went for B2 Visa Interview at US Embassy in Mumbai.

My Dad is retired and mom is housewife. Both are 65+.

We chose Hindi for Interview and during interview one translator was present.

VO asked following questions to my nephew and my parents:

Ques. to Dad

VO: Where are you going?

Dad: Answered

VO: Why are you going, who stays there?

Dad: My son stays with him family and we are going to meet them and visit tourist places.

VO: What does your son do?

Dad: Answered

VO: Who is paying for your trip?

Dad: My son

Ques. to my Nephew

VO: Who is paying for your trip?

N: My Uncle

VO: Why your Uncle paying for everyone?

N: Because he is my Uncle and my Grandparents are his parents so paying for their trip.

VO: What your father does?

N: He is a doctor

VO: Do you have any brother or sister?

N: Yes I have one younger sister.

And then VO said your visa application is rejected and returned the passports. Dad asked for the reason and they gave him one paper 214b saying that "We think you will not come back"

My Dad tried to convince them as I have two more brothers in Mumbai who are married and dad gets regular pension and has properties; but they never looked at any of the documents. Even my nephew who is a student has a letter from his institute saying that he is given a break to visit his uncle. But VO didn't look at any of the document.

Now I am planning to apply for my parents only.

Do you think If it is fine to go ahead and reapply for my parents immediately?

"Visit tourist places"... A very generic answer, shows that it isn't really planned. What "tourist places"? Where? In winter, it is cold in the northern part of the US.

Also, for how long was the trip planned? A student can't just leave for a long time, in particular not during the semester/quarter.

And YOU don't apply for anything. Your parents apply. THEY have to handle this, not you. Coaching is bad, and probably contributed to the denial. The officers can easily figure out that the answers are coached. Don't think they are stupid.

The issues listed in the denial notice have to be addressed. Otherwise, applying again is just a waste of time and money.

I believe there is more probability of getting approval if only your parents apply for VISA. It is very difficult to convince VO for a single 20 year old that he will return and provide strong ties in India for him. Once your parents visa is approved, then try for your nephew separately. Good luck.
