Lost passport with valid US visa - Am i eligible for dropbox

Hello,

I am currently in US and I lost my indian passport with a valid US visa init and I applied for a new Indian passport and received it.

I am planing to take a vacation to india early next year, and i am in the process of booking an appointment in Chennai consulate to get the visa stamped again.

Dropbox eligibility questions while booking appointment:

1.  Do you have a previous H-1B visa (temporary occupation, temporary worker or trainee)?  I had it, but lost it.  So what should i say here?

If i say YES and proceed further, at the end it's saying i am eligible for drop box, but i need to Drop off the below listed documents at Drop-Off locations. In this list i don't have the "old passport with a US visa". 
          Current passport and any old passports with a U.S. visa.
          One photograph (per U.S. visa specification).
          Photocopy of form I-797.

Should i say i don't have previous H1B in the first question and go for the in person interview?

Appreciate your guidelines on my situation.

I have similar issue. Can anyone help me with what the response should be for the above question?

I dont even have a copy of my Visa.

Hi Sekhar,

 Am on same boat. I have lost my passport and don't have visa copy. May i know how you got visa stamped? Did you go to dropbox or interview mode?

   May i know what option you choose here YES or NO?
