Rational1 Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Hi All, My 4th H1b just got approved last week and is valid till Dec 2019. I Went for stamping last couple of times in Canada with my wife and it was approved without any issues. (Wife has her own H1b). Around Jan of 2015 we had unfortunate incident where an argument snow balled and it led to her calling the cops. The cops arrested me for Simple assault when she had hit me first and I had done the same out of anger but no serious physical damage was done to either of us. Obviously the cops took her word against mine. My wife has since repented her actions. I hired a good attorney and he had all my charges dismissed and he even expunged my record. But i understand for Immigration purposes Expunging a record means nothing. When they finger print me during stamping it will come up and i know that. My question is what are the chances of 221g? My wife will be there next to me to answer any questions and own up to her mistakes like she did in the court. I am carrying all my court papers showing the charges being dismissed. My stamping is in Vancouver on Dec 1st. Does this charge account for CIMT? Appreciate your input. Thanks.
