psyram
Hey, I've been charged with reckless driving in southern Virginia for speeding. No accidents of any sort. But SPEEDING! This happened on a Friday midnight and is my first traffic offense in USA. Reckless driving in VA unlike other states is considered criminal offense and Class I misdemeanor :'( I would appreciate if someone advises me on how to proceed further and what steps to take. Will hiring an attorney help and whats the chances of it to get reduced to regular traffic ticket? I've consulted with several lawyers in Southwestern Virginia and most of them say that they can bring it down to normal traffic ticket and hence the criminal record will be removed since my driving record is CLEAN till date! Thanks! Link to comment
pontevecchio
Firstly talk to an Immigration lawyer maybe the firm of Murthy and then based on their take involve a lawyer to mitigate the situation. Do not talk to dozens of lawyers. Good lawyers are expensive. Link to comment
