H2 EAD - US Citizen - Start a Consulting business?

Hi Experts,

I am on H1B and my wife is on H4 -EAD. I am planning to start a IT Consulting firm with my wife as one owner sharing partnership with a relative who has US Citizenship. I have below questions. Thanks in advance for answering these questions for me.

1. What is good to start LLC or C-CORP?

2. Can my wife have 50% share in the organization?

You can't plan to start anything.

Your wife can plan it. You are not allowed to have any input into this. You can't even talk about the business over dinner. All that would be active involvement in the business.

You have no permission to start another DCC. If your spouse wants to go ahead she can. Be aware the whole project will be scrutinized in depth, given the circumstances..

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to get this wrong. I will not be involving in the business. The firm will be on my wife's name and I will not work for that company at all.
