Do we need original approval notice for H4 visa.

Hi Friends,

I have applied for my H1 extension as well as H4 and got approved. But, we lost both (H1 and H4) approval notices(I-797). However we have copies of them. Now, my wife is planning to go to india for stamping H4. So, copies of both I-797 would be suffice? or do we need originals too? Please suggest.

She needs your H1 petition approval to get the H4 visa. Her EOS application is immaterial. A copy of your H1 petition approval will do in view of PIMS.
