SudhaEswaran Posted October 19, 2016 Report Posted October 19, 2016 I have got H1B approval and my visa interview is on november. I have worked in Company A – Have proof Company B(not my field of work) for few months – no proof other than Paystubs Company C – present employer Company D – offered H1B. While filling DS – 160, I did not mention Company B’s details. But I have mentioned Company A – previous employer Company C – current employer. Will there be any problem for not mentioning Company B’s details? Please provide your valuable inputs.

rksingh Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 ALWAYS be truthful when filling out the DS160. Just because you do not mention the employer does not mean that a background check will not reveal your employment - remember various govt agencies get information about your employment (IRS for taxes withheld, SSA for social security taxes withheld etc etc)
RoSogolla_221g Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 You only need paystubs to prove that you were employed. As rksingh said, be truthful. Why are you hesitant to not mention Company B. Think about it - Were you on OPT that time? If you do not mention company B, would you exceed the OPT unemployment period? You may have discrepancy in your W2/Tax returns etc if asked by VO. I would mentioned employer B, more so since that was a previous employer and I am currently with C going to D.
