startledbeetle Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 I am a grad student studying in the US, and my visa expires next year. I intend to make use of the 'drop-box' facility to renew my F1 visa. However, one of the questions asked in the DS-160 form is as given below: Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any offense or crime, even though subject of a pardon, amnesty, or other similar action? I have never been arrested or convicted. However, I once drove 30 mph above the speed limit (considered as reckless driving, misdemeanor class B) and was caught doing so. I was let off without being arrested / detained, but was charged and set a court date. I was never fingerprinted either. The charges were later dismissed as a part of a diversion agreement. What should my answer be to the question? Yes or No? Thanks for your time!
