jasm1978 Posted October 14, 2016 Report Posted October 14, 2016 Hello Experts - Please advise on my case. I filed my H1 visa through one of the consultants in US. Over the course of time, unfortunately, I got to know about their unprofessional attitude and behaviour towards their employees. I might be getting my Visa approved by end of this month. I wanted to ask if I can safely transfer my H1 before stamping to another employer whom I know personally and have a direct long term project for me in states. Its a direct client hiring. I am still in India. This way, I will have a better employer to work for without any chances of visa rejection at the window. Please advise as i need to take this decision soon and get the paperwork ready. Thanks in advance.
jasm1978 Posted October 18, 2016 Author Report Posted October 18, 2016 Can somebody please update on this..Thanks
LSK_India Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Yes you can transfer it before stamping. I did it in December last year. No problem at all.
pontevecchio Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 The rules have changed. Unless you start work for the initial sponsor or get a visa stamp done for the initial sponsor your H1 is gone. Help yourself. Discuss specifics ASAP with the firm of Murthy or any of your choice before making any errors of judgement.
