Do we need to get Mexico visa for going to Tijuana

Hi,

We (me and my wife) are planning to go for H1/H4 Visa stamping at Tijuana, my previous H1 visa was expired 6 1/2 years ago. I have following quesitons

1) Do we need Mexican visa?

2) Incase required, Can we get at the border or we need to get an advance  (via consulate in San Jose) before crossing the border?

Much appreciated if you guys can provide any help or information.

1. Yes

2. You have to obtain it at the Mexican consulate in San Jose before your travel. Its a simple process and take about 20 mins if you have an appointment.

you need a Mexican visa and you can get it in San Jose/ San Francisco (you don't need a appointment, and can walk-in in San Francisco). either place, it won't take more than 30 minutes.

Have Canadian visitors visa, and was told by mexican consulate that I can travel with that
