Once you have finished, click ‘Retrieve Application’ button to continue completing your online application form. Surname does not match. Year of Birth does not match. I did not filled the form completely. Just entered the personal information. I dont know what went wrong, Please help me anyone how can I change my DS 160 form in the appointment page.
shekar11# Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 Fill a new DS 160 and call customer care and get the number updated. They will do it.
Canucks_H1bRenewal Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 I have had the same problem before submitting it. I just tried a few hours later and it would work fine. Happened a couple of time for me.
H1BandH4 Posted October 12, 2016 Author Report Posted October 12, 2016 I called the Customer service, he said that these kind of issues are very common so you can just fill another DS 160 form and tell at embassy that the DS 160 form on the interviewer slot was not retrieved so that's why you created new . Is that true? I just want to confirm I dont want to stuck there in Mexico.

I can't speak for Mexico but the way Canada consulates work is that you have to have the DS 160 form confirmation printed that will match the interview slot. DS160 form ID will be required to book an appointment, however it is not necessary for you to fully complete the DS 160 in order to get a DS 160 ID. DS160 can be edited and submitted until before the appointment day but has to be submitted in order for the consulate to retrieve it. If you happen to already submit the DS 160 and need to change something then you can fill a new DS160 and change the DS160 ID linked to your appointment. That is how the process works, DS160 and Appointment signups are two different systems, which will culminate at the consulate. You can change information up until a day or so before your appointment but whatever DS your appointment is linked should be the one you use. It will be annoying for the consular officer if you say that DS160 information is wrong, look this. It should have been the function of the appointment website (or) their customer service team to change the DS160 to proper match. Anyway, reading from the comments above it might the case that it will work if you try later. Also just use a different browser (or) clear browser cache and try
H1BandH4 Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 In the appointment schedule, There is no way to change the DS 160 number(grey'ed), That's why I contacted the customer service. I tried all the ways to retrieve the application but I couldn't.
