Traveling to India while H1B transfer is pending

Hi,

i joined employer B in August 2016 based on h1b receipt, my h1b transfer case is pending with uscis for about 3 months. Now that I have family emergency & need to visit India for couple of weeks. Also my stamped visa from previous employer is still valid until August 2017. if I leave US while my case is pending will uscis cancel or abandon/cancel my case? Will I be allowed at POI to enter US.

You cannot enter without a valid H1. Upgrade it to PP and get your H1 ASAP.
