sjp2301 Posted October 7, 2016 Report Posted October 7, 2016 Hello Team, I had a small question. My H1B got picked this year and I am going for stamping to India in November. But my client has changed and its away from my base location ( new state). I know H1B amendment needs to be filed if we work more than 30 working/business days at new location. So my question is can I work 20 days at new client location, go to India, get the stamping done and upon my return file the H1B amendment. ? When I do that, I will have completed just 20 working days at new location ( but more than 30 overall days) . Is this compliant with USCIS rules and regulations? If I am not wrong, we can file amendment within 30 days of working at new location right? Replies would be really appreciated and helpful. Thanks
rahul412 Posted October 10, 2016 Report Posted October 10, 2016 You need amendment before you attend H1 interview.
