padmajagulla
I would like to sponsor Green Card to my Sister. She is a doctor on H1B. I would like to know if that will help her to stay in US without a H1 B. She has some health issues due to which she wants to stop work for some time. I am wondering if I start the GC process, will she get a EAD or any eligibility that she stay on in the US without having to work with H1B. We do understand that the processing times for siblings are long and we are not looking to get the GC through this. Any help or direction will be appreciated. thanks Padmaja Link to comment

How else? An EAD requires that an I-485 is filed, which in turn requires a current PD. It will take 12+ years for her to be able to file an I-485 and EAD. If she doesn't want to work anymore, she will have to go back to her home country. Link to comment
