Sek
I had same experience as Sukhdeep. Went for interview at Calgary consulate on Feb 8th, 2017; got 221(g) yellow ( color doesn't matter). I was asked exact same questions as anyone else and visa officer asked me to submit my resume , research and publications even though this is my third H1B and returned my passport and docs . Got approval exactly after 3 weeks , 16 business days and got passport in my hand in 5 business days exactly. I know this is tense situation but I haven't seen anybody getting his visa rejected on these bases . good luck Link to comment

But funny part, i am in US for last 13 years but i never had any problem with visa stamping. This is first time they found that my degree is in TAL. I would suggest everyone who has TAL degree not to come to Ottawa Canada. I realized consular officer is young and very inexperienced. Link to comment
