Apply for EAD now when H4 will be active from July 2016

My husband is now on F1 OPT. He has an approved I-140 and H1 COS approved but H1 status starts from July 2016. He will be on F1 OPT until then.

So I will be on F-2 until July 2016. My H4 status will become active from July 2016.

Can I apply for an H4 EAD now? It is ok if the EAD status is active from July 2016 but I just need to know if I have to wait until July 2016 to apply for my EAD.

Which means, I will be on F-2 until July 2016. I have also received my H4 COS approved but status active from July 2016.

 

Can I apply for H4 EAD now? It is ok if the EAD start date is from July 2016 but I just need to know whether I have to wait until my H4 status becomes active in July 2016 and only then apply for an EAD.

No. You can only apply for an EAD once you are in H4 status.
