smarem
I am on H1-B visa and I have EB2 I-140 approved with priority date in July 2011. My spouse also has a separate H1-B visa and has EB2 I-140 approved with June 2011 PD. As the priority dates are not moving, we are stuck in our current jobs. Now that there is a H4-EAD option available, I would like to explore the option of converting from my H1-B to H4 (dependent for my spouse) and obtaining H4-EAD. 1. What are the risks involved in converting from H1-B to a dependent H4 and obtaining H4-EAD?2. Would that provide more options for career progress or add more restrictions/risks? Your advise based on your knowledge or personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Link to comment
