H4 Stamping - Future 797 or Current 797

Hello

 

I have my current 797 and H1B visa valid till June 20, 2016. I will be applying for H1 extension on January 20, 2016. I have approved I-140. Let's assume I get 3 year extension.

 

My wife will be going to India in March 2016. She needs to go for H4 stamping. 

Will the VO consider my new 797 (valid for 3 years) and give her H4 visa for 3 years even though its starting from a future date (may be June 21, 2016)? Is there anything I need to do for this to happen like mentioning new 797 receipt number anywhere?

 

Please suggest.

Your wife should be getting the visa based on the latest H1 petition approval. If there is a hitch she can always come over and file an extension based on your extension/approval.
