Porting I-140 with a gap in H1B

Hi,

 

I have been on a H1b visa for 3 years now. I have an approved I-140. I need to quit my job and go back to India for some personal reasons.

 

If I want to come back after say 1 or 2 years, when I apply for a new H1B - will I be subject to the cap?

 

Will I be able to port the priority date?
