vichuva
HI I am on H1 and my employer has filed for my PERM last march and I am now waiting for its approval and importantly I am not satisfied with my work. Meanwhile I have got another opportunity with someother firm who is ready to file my GC from the day one of my joining. Given that my 6 yrs period would be ending 26 Nov 2016, I am very confused as what is the best option here : 1. Should I wait for my i-140 to be approved with my current employer and then move on to new one ? Not sure how long wud this be. 2. In order to have personal satisfaction should I move to the new opportunity and re-start the PERM process ? If I do this I wud be in the final year when my perm gets filed. Link to comment
jairichi
Any extension beyond 6 years on H1B will be possible if you have a PERM or I-140 pending for more than a year or an approved I-140. Make a decision based on that. Link to comment
