On L1A, Want to apply on EB1, Company wants to apply EB2

I currently hold L1A Visa, eligible for Eb1 on all technical grounds, However, The current company i work for is unwilling to apply on Eb1 category (Quoting some company policy reasons). 

 

If i am ready to bear the application and attorney fee, What are the documents my company will need to provide?

 

Can i apply EB1 by myself?

If you need a PERM LC, the company has to pay for it, by law.

You cannot apply EB1 yourself unless you qualify for extraordinary ability or outstanding professors and researchers. If your company has that policy to file EB2 rather than EB1 you will need to talk to your employer.
