pv111
Dear friends, I am planning to do online PhD from walden university. Does anyone has any idea if I will qualify for eb1 category self geeen card filing after successful completion of doctorate ? I talked to someone in admissions office there. They say it should be fine. But not sure completely since this digree is mostly online also does not support visa such as F1. I am on H1B so right now I dont need any support. But one of my intention to get this digree to expedite green card process. Thank you in advance for any related information. That will be great help. Regards Link to comment
JoeF
Having a PhD does not mean that you would qualify for EB1. The only possibility would be EB1-OR (Outstanding Researcher), and for that you would need a tenure-track faculty position, i.e., you would have to have done and published a lot of research to even be considered for a faculty position. Doing a PhD is fulltime work, 24/7. You can't do that online on evenings and weekends. I would avoid that institution. Link to comment
jairichi
A PhD degree online? What major? And, having a mere PHD will not make you eligible for GC under EB1 category. If that is your intention it is a waste of money. Link to comment
