Continuity of employment between receipt of EAD and issue of GC

All - Had a question and was wondering if the experts here can help us here

 

1. Both myself and my wife have our EAD.
2. Can I switch to another job after 6 months from I-485 applications filed with USCIS ? (or it is 6 months from the receipt of EAD)
3. Do I have to be continually employed between now and until I receive my green card or can I take sabbatical ?
4. Can I travel outside the country with a valid EAD and no employment ?

It would be of tremendous help if I could get answers on this
