Adding wife (on H4) to green card process

Currently I have an approved I-140. My wife however wasn't added to the original application since we weren't married at that time. We are still waiting for our priority dates to be current and would like to know if she can be added to the I-140 in the meantime. Thanks.

You can't add someone in the application which is already approved, in your case you can file 485 for your wife.

 

If you're talking about this w.r.t new immigration action then your wife is safe.
