Post H1B visa transfer: Question about Visa Stamping

Hi,

Me and my wife have valid H1B and H4 visas for company X:
Current H1B and H4 visa expiry date: Aug 2015

I recently transferred to company Y and we have a new H1B and H4 visa approval notice (form I-797) for company Y:
New H1-B and H4 expiry date: Oct 2017

My last day with company X - Dec 26, 2014 and start date with company Y - Jan 12, 2015. We are travelling to India from Dec 28, 2014 to Jan 11, 2015. 

Question: Do me or my wife need to get a new H1/H4 visa stamping while in India?

Do you have visa stamp your current X company if so all you need to present your h1 copy at POE.

We do have visa stamp for my current employer on me and my wife's passport (valid till Aug 2015).

 

Question: Do we need to get a new visa stamp or can we just show current stamp along with I797 approval notice?
