H1 Expired, need to travel to india

Hi

 

My H1 got expired on Oct 2014 and my visa extension has got approved for one more year. Now I want to travel to India through London, will they rise any problem to travel with expired visa.
IF there is any problem to pass through london, please let me know if I can take one of the below options:

1) Philadelphia -> Chicago -> Mumbai - >hyderabad

2) Philadelphia - > Doha -> Hyderabad.

take path 2, that saves time and money.

Without a valid US visa you need a transit visa to fly via UK.

Options 1 & 2 are fine.
