I applied Canada Visitor Visa through online and got request from CIC to send passport.

what we need to submit:

1) passport
2) Request form to send passport
3) return envelope

my question: do we need to submit any other VAC fees or anything else please.

as far as I know through friends, that it not required, but it was mentioned in the website like below
===============================================================
Los Angeles
  • You must submit your passport at the visa application centre (VAC)

Canadian Visa Application Centre – Los Angeles
    2120 E Grand Avenue Suite 108A
    El Segundo
    CA, 90245
    U.S.A.

This can be done by mail or in person.

With your passport(s), make sure you include:

    • The passport request letter you received from CIC
    • Any applicable VAC fees, such as passport transmission fees
    • Full contact information, including a phone number, email and your full return address
    • The VAC consent form (PDF, 18 KB)
    • A pre-paid return courier envelope, if applicable

Check the website of your closest visa application centre (VAC) for all requirements and more information:

You should be sending two different envelopes to two different addresses.

Envelope 1

You need to mail your VAC fees of $34.10 to a separate party  CSC Counsular Services INC. with only the money order envelope. The money order should be addressed to CSC consular Services INC. Make two copies of this, one for your reference and the other for sending it to LA Visa office (see 2)

CSC Counsular Services INC.

PO Box 410039
Salt Lake City Utah 84141-0039  O

Envelope 2

Following documents will go in a separate mail to

Canadian Visa Application Centre – Los Angeles
2120 E Grand Avenue Suite 108A
El Segundo
CA, 90245
U.S.A.

Copy of the money order
2 copies of VAC consent form
fedEX or USPS Priority Return label
Passport
Acceptance Letter  (Request for passport)

Original Poster: My recommendation is not to do what above post says and send both the envelopes at the same. Them calling you and telling you to send money, just does not sound right, Even if he is right, you are losing time unnecessarily. You are an Indian passport holder, so it will not be different from mine.  As an Indian and a Canadian tourist visa holder ( Applied, approved / passport delivered in Oct 2014), I suggest you to do what I told you.

Also feel free to do your own research.

Yup, I provided envelope+return label since USPS said they cant use the same one and I later figured that I did not have to send the envelope. They put another envelope in my envelope and send it to me. It was waste of money but at least I had assurance. whatever. lol.

However, just remember that they do not accept any other courier facility than USPS and FedEx. Trying going with USPS priority mail. it's a safe bet.
