JoeF
Qualifications for the DV lottery (and other paths to the GC) depends on country of birth. British don't qualify for the DV lottery. In rare circumstances, e.g., if the parents were just visiting the country, there may be a way to get charged to the country of the parents. But you'd have to check with a good immigration lawyer if that applies to you. Link to comment
JoeF
You are eligible to apply. You need to do the research. People born in the UK (except Northern Ireland) aren't eligible for the DV lottery, and actually haven't been eligible since the DV lottery started in 1989 (the DV lottery was introduced with the 1989 immigration reform, which also created the H1.)
